EIZO supports Heidelberg’s ISO push at Ipex

Tuesday 11. May 2010 - LCD technology specialist EIZO is lending Heidelberg 16 ColorEdge CG243W monitors for demonstrating its Prinect workflow and colour control tools and six FlexScan S2243W business monitors for the reception areas of its Hall 8 stand.

Lance O’Connell, prepress product manager at Heidelberg, says: “EIZO has over 40 years experience in the manufacture and distribution of LCD technology and it has the credentials to provide us with monitors that are well suited to creative and productive environments where colour rendition and replication is critical. At Ipex we are unveiling some new colour control tools and being able to demonstrate these on such high performing LCD monitors will help us to demonstrate them well, enabling printers to work with confidence to the quality and colour ISO standards that many find a requirement today.”
ISO 12647 colour accreditation is the standard gaining ground and in addition to the equipment and software products shown by Heidelberg, Steve Fowler and a team of Print Colour Management experts will be on the stand to explain the consultancy and certification services they can now provide.
Rob Musson, business director of the EIZO division of Avnet Technology Solutions in the UK, says: “EIZO has a vast range of monitors created and built to the demanding requirements of the professional user in a wide range of businesses and applications. Our LCD technology is used for solutions which diagnose critical illnesses, can create the next Hollywood blockbuster movie, help to make world stock market trade decisions or land 747s at their final destination. In each area we like to present excellence and we are very pleased to be able to work closely with Heidelberg at this important international show for the graphics arts industry.”
