Sun Innovations at China Hi-Tech Fair: presentation under the guard of secret service

Friday 11. December 2009 - Sun Innovations company jointly with the Russian Corporation of Nanotechnologies (RUSNANO) is taking part in China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) in Shenzhen, November 16-21, 2009. The booth is situated at the exposition of the Federal Agency for Science and Innovations (Rosnauka) organized by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

At this forum Sun Company is introducing Neo UV-LED Evolution Compact printer to demonstrate its ability to print photo-quality images on different materials. Specialists print Kremlin, Russian dolls, Gzhel on such substrates as plastic, glass, textile etc. Special attention is drawn to the picture of Chinese president Hu Jintao shaking hands with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev.

“The company booth is arousing the best interest at the international pavilion”, says Konstantin Zakharov, chief of marketing department of Sun Innovations, – “It’s difficult to come close to Neo UV-LED Evolution printer during the day due to the crowd of curious visitors. As a result more than 8000 leaflets have already been distributed and one can easily notice a lot of visitors, including policemen, wandering with the leaflets of our company.”

At the beginning of the second day of the exhibition Chinese undercover agents were appointed to look after the booth: there were from 2 to 4 people on duty. Those undertaken safety precautions were to protect Sun Company employees. It is connected with the great flow of visitors.

On the 18th of November there was the presentation of Russian companies’ achievements for Chinese specialists organized by Rosnauka. When Oleg Safonov, manager of external economic activity department of Sun Innovations, was getting ready for his speech, ink in a printer of Rosnauka finished. But as there was a necessity for a speaker to have a printed plan in hands so the report was printed with the help of Neo UV-LED Evolution on the piece of glass. Eventually, possibly it was historically the first report when the speaker was reading it not from a sheet of paper but from a piece of glass. The fact of this aroused great interest among the press presented there.

Developments of scientists and achievements of manufacture from Russia attracted attention of many journalists. Reporting from Sun Company booth was broadcasted on the central channels of China and local TV station in Shenzhen. Xinhua news agency, an authoritative newspaper Zhenmin Zhibao and a local newspaper Shenzhen daily wrote about Sun Innovations company.
