Report on Viscom Frankfurt 2008
Thursday 18. December 2008 - In October 30-November 1 SUN took part in International Trade Fair for Visual Communication held in Frankfurt Exhibition Centre (Germany).
The exhibition set impressive records as the biggest Viscom ever to have been held in Frankfurt. This year the exhibition space was more than 60 percent larger than at the previous event held in 2006, more than 260 exhibitors from 26 countries presented the entire range of innovations in the field of visual communication for more than 9000 visitors from all over the world. And really it was a successful event that shows exactly – Viscom have increased its popularity among exhibitors and visitors in different categories: Digital Printing/Large Format Printing, Textile Processing, Light Advertising as well as Signmaking for POS etc.
SUN llc presented its innovative technology at the booth of our distributor in Germany – TechnoPlot. By the way we were the only company to print on different materials like glass, tile, plastic, textile etc. We meet a lot of customers (marketing decision-makers and users from advertising agencies, industry and the retail sector) who came especially to check out the use of new materials. On NEO UV-LED Evolution we printed a glass door for one of the potential clients, for another one we printed on wooden table. The result was perfect and clients were impressed by unmatched quality. The NEO UV-LED Evolution attracted considerable interest. We were able to extend existing contacts and gain new ones. We recorded a large number of very specific enquiries. We experimented even with textile and leather printing. Nearby our booth there was a company displaying printing on T-shirts and we took one unit from them to print on it. Really the quality was good – bright colors and stable images. Also we got leather from one of the visitors who tried it previously on different solvent and uv-printers from other manufactures. On NEO UV-LED Evolution we got the best result – saturated and stable picture.
In general in was excellent and a very interesting trade fair. Viscom enabled us to make contact with distributors as well as with end consumers. And we also were happy that visitors are well prepared and qualified. Here were the people who are in this business and also those who wanted to enlarge their opportunities. They were searching for new profitable and innovative technologies. All of them mentioned that it’s really cool with NEO UV-LED Evolution and SunFlower ink we can do amazing 3d printing on almost any surfaces increasing the range of new printable materials. For SUN clients this absolute highlight opens up new fields of application. We hope this success will stimulate our business even further.
