Kodak Announces New and Extended Reseller and Distributor Agreements

Thursday 17. September 2009 - Kodak announces at Print 09 new and extended agreements with several of its Authorized Resellers and Distributors.

xpedx takes on packaging solutions

In the packaging space, a new agreement makes xpedx an Authorized Reseller of Kodak’s Packaging Solutions in the United States. The agreement enables xpedx to provide important new offset and flexographic package printing technologies to U.S. commercial printers, in-plant printers, and companies specializing in package and label printing.

Under the new agreement, xpedx will add the KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System, KODAK PRINERGY POWERPACK Workflow, KODAK PRINERGY EVO POWERPACK Workflow, KODAK THERMOFLEX Platesetters, KODAK APPROVAL Digital Color Imaging System, and KODAK FLEXCEL Plates to its existing portfolio.

In addition to a large customer base of commercial and in-plant printers, xpedx also has a network of more than 550 packaging specialists, representatives, and technicians at more than 100 locations across North America to serve a wide range of small, mid-size and large manufacturers with total packaging solutions. For the past 10 years, xpedx has served as an Authorized Reseller of Kodak’s commercial printing solutions in the United States, including workflow, CTP devices, plates, proofing, and consumables.

“Kodak has enjoyed a productive relationship with xpedx for many years and this next step will bring many benefits to the customers we both serve in the growing packaging market,” noted Whaley.

CMG offers color management and proofing solutions

A new Channel Partnership agreement between Kodak and the Color Management Group (CMG) focuses on the sales and support of proofing systems in the United States and Canada. CMG will offer bundled proofing and color management solutions built around Kodak’s state-of-the-art KODAK Proofing Software 4.0 and Color Management Group’s expert certified services and solution integration offerings.

Through the agreement, Kodak color management and proofing solutions will be available to a broader audience, and enhanced by CMG’s color management expertise, knowledge and experience. CMG is a consortium of premier independent consultant-based resellers and their Silicon Valley-based distributors who provide pre-sales assistance, product sales, integration, training, and technical support of color management solutions and G7-related technologies.

FASTechnology distributes inkjet printing

KODAK VERSAMARK D-Series Printing Systems are now available through FASTechnology Group LLC, an Authorized Distributor in the United States and Canada. FASTechnology, a longstanding industry leader in inkjet and custom-made machine control systems for the commercial printing and newspaper industries, offers the KODAK VERSAMARK DS5120, DS5122, DS5222, DS5240, DS5340, DS5640 and DS5650.

With this agreement, FASTechnology Group now makes it easier for customers to integrate Kodak’s continuous inkjet printheads into high-value and high-efficiency printing operations. Designed for a full range of monochrome or color imprinting applications, such as barcoding, packaging, hybrid printing, and personalization, KODAK VERSAMARK D-Series Printing Systems are easily integrated into existing production environments.
