Monday 14. September 2009 - Kodak’s full range of integrated solutions for improving production efficiencies and return on marketing investment will be featured in an entirely new way at its booth, #6907, at Print 09.

Based on the theme “It’s time for you AND Kodak,” professionals in commercial printing, data-driven communication, publishing, and packaging can customize their experience at Kodak’s digital booth based on the unique needs of their business. Through interactive presentations and live discussions, attendees can view samples and learn about products, applications, and trends in the areas of digital printing, prepress and workflow.

New Products Debut at Print 09

Major new product announcements include the introduction of the KODAK PROSPER 5000XL Press for color applications and KODAK PROSPER 1000 Press for monochrome applications. Based on Kodak’s revolutionary Stream Inkjet Technology, PROSPER Presses deliver high speed and high quality at a low total cost of ownership, with the flexibility of digital.

Both the PROSPER 5000XL Press and PROSPER 1000 Press are targeted to the book and direct mail markets. In addition, the PROSPER 5000XL Press will be marketed for catalogs/inserts and magazines.

For book printers, the PROSPER Press Platform offers a solution superior to offset for run lengths up to 7,000 copies, greatly enhancing supply chain efficiency. For direct mail printers, the PROSPER Press Platform leverages high-quality customization to improve response rates and offers 30 percent lower total cost of ownership compared to offset printing in combination with offline laser imprinting. And finally, for catalog and magazine printers, the PROSPER Press Platform beats the overall cost of offset in run lengths up to 3,000 copies, while increasing response rates through the use of personalization and targeted marketing.

“The KODAK PROSPER Press Platform meets the market’s demand for high quality, high-speed operation, and a low total cost of ownership, delivering digital without compromise. The platform enables today’s print and marketing service providers to maximize production and supply chain efficiencies and return on marketing investment,” said Kevin Joyce, Worldwide Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Digital Printing Solutions, Kodak. “For book printers, commercial printers, direct marketers and others, KODAK PROSPER Presses bring a host of new revenue and growth opportunities.”

Kodak also announces the commercial availability of several new Unified Workflow solutions at Print 09. KODAK PRINERGY Workflow 5.1 integrates KODAK COLORFLOW Software, Adobe’s latest PDF Print Engine, and greater connectivity options for digital press controllers. KODAK PREPS Imposition Software version 6.0 offers an improved, unified, dynamic user interface so users can quickly create imposition plans, with or without ganging. The KODAK INSITE Storefront System 6.0 includes a more robust and comprehensive suite of software tools to extend the benefits of Kodak’s Web-to-Print Solutions. INSITE Storefront System 6.0 is also designed to transform the traditional print shop into a digital, online powerhouse with a depth and breadth of services.

Demonstrations of KODAK INSITE Campaign Manager will also take place in the Unified Workflow section of Kodak’s booth. INSITE Campaign Manager takes the labor out of multi-channel marketing by controlling campaign elements and schedules, providing logic for targeting and executing campaigns, and tracking measurements with reporting tools that analyze campaign ROI.
