Kodak Flexo Specialist to Share Insights at International Flexography Conference in Brazil

Monday 07. September 2009 - frequent global speaker on flexography, Dr. John Anderson of Kodak will share his industry insights at the International Flexography Conference in São Paulo, Brazil, Sept. 9-10. Kodak is a sponsor of the event, the largest of its kind in Latin America for the flexographic industry.

Anderson, Global Product Marketing Manager, Flexo, Kodak, will present “CTP through Lamination: A New Technological Standard” at 11:30 a.m. on Sept. 10.

“This is an exciting time in the flexographic industry worldwide, particularly Latin America, where flexo adoption is growing,” said Anderson. “The Latin American market is very important to Kodak and we look forward to sharing our insights and innovation to help packaging printers grow their businesses.”

Designed to dramatically enhance the quality of flexographic printing for applications such as tags and labels, folding cartons and flexible packages, the KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System enables previously unachievable offset class, gravure quality results for packaging printers and their brand owner clients. The integrated FLEXCEL NX System is designed to complement the KODAK PRINERGY Workflow System for Packaging. The FLEXCEL NX System enables outstanding print quality on a wide variety of substrates—including paper, flexible film, foil, paperboard, and label stock.

The FLEXCEL NX System was named this year as the sole recipient of the 2009 Flexographic Technical Association Technical Innovation Award. It also received the 2008 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Award and the Flexographic Pre-Press Platemakers Association Technology Innovator of the Year Award.

Anderson blogs about the flexo industry for Kodak’s “Grow Your Biz” blog at http://growyourbiz.kodak.com. His “Where in the flexo world is Dr. John?” series profiles his visits to packaging printers and trade shops, plus his tips and perspectives on the global flexo market.

Prior to joining Kodak, Anderson was Technical and Education Director for the Flexographic Technical Association and before that was Technical and Training Manager for the European Flexographic Technical Association.
