New Digital Fine Art Solution Brings New Revenue Opportunities for Image Professionals

Wednesday 08. July 2009 - ErgoSoft StudioPrint V.2008 DFA Edition Now Commercially Available

HP, Nikon and ErgoSoft today announced the commercial availability of its ErgoSoft StudioPrint DFA Edition, a software application enabling the easy creation and production of high-quality fine art reproductions as a result of the close collaboration between HP, Nikon and ErgoSoft.

This digital fine arts solution is ideal for professional photographers, art publishers and Print-Service-Providers, as well as art galleries and museums and private collectors looking to expand their businesses.

The many applications for fine art reproductions include:

Exhibition of gallery-quality reproductions
Sales of limited-edition reproductions of watercolors, paintings, and drawings or sketches
Digitization, archiving and restoration of national collections or historical documents
Reproductions of private collections or family paintings
“The DFA solution provides a unique market offering, in one, all encompassing fine art reproduction solution. With no need for advanced colour management or editing techniques, the new system drastically reduces the previous time consuming process and makes creating and producing gallery-quality fine art reproduction prints, easy and efficient,” said Thierry Dupasquier, business development manager at HP Imaging and Printing Group.

The HP Artist Solution for Nikon consists of the Nikon D3X or D3 camera, the new HP Designjet Z3200 Photo Printer and a special DFA edition of the ErgoSoft StudioPrint photo RIP software, powered by HP Artist Software technology.

The embedded HP Artist Software is an HP DreamColor technology system, that simplifies the workflow for digital image capture. It automatically corrects for light uniformity, calculates and adjusts colours for accurate printing, and generates a digital image with an embedded custom ICC profile, ready to be printed on the HP Designjet Z3200 Photo Printer.

As of May 2009, the ErgoSoft StudioPrint V.2008 DFA Edition will be available through resellers in Germany (rauch-it.de), France (Objectif Bastille, Image Photo Video, NumeriPhot, Photo Lyon Numérique) and Switzerland (tgsoft.ch), with planned release to other countries across EMEA in the near future.
