Centro Stampa Digitalprint Adds Third HP Indigo Press

Tuesday 07. July 2009 - HP today announced that Centro Stampa Digitalprint of Rimini, has installed an HP Indigo press 5500, the company's third HP Indigo press, to supplement its existing digital capabilities and further differentiate its services.

From its foundation in 1987 as a black and white printer by Sergio Protti and his son, Quinto (the company’s current managing director), it was clear that Centro Stampa Digitalprint would continue to differentiate itself in the crowded commercial print market. The evolution began with the addition of a colour litho press, and was followed with the installation of its first HP Indigo press in 2001. This was followed by the installation of an HP Indigo press 5000 and the establishment of a second production facility in San Marino that is equipped with an HP Indigo press 5500. In 2009, the company moved its main operation to a new 1200m2 facility and installed the new HP Indigo press 5500.

Today, Centro Stampa Digitalprint’s production is 50 percent conventional and 50 percent digital, serving a business-to-business commercial customer base, producing manuals and hand books for industrial and automotive applications as well as books, brochures, catalogues, flyers, business cards, price lists and other commercial work for private companies, publishers, advertising agencies and graphic design enterprises.

The digital differentiation has given a strong competitive edge to Centro Stampa DigitalPrint in a market where there are many conventional printers.
