Built on its predecessor’s technology base, the new digital press prints five colours (CMYK + clear) in just one pass or can add clear toner to pre-printed articles. This allows users to add visual ‘texture’ to any layout. This in turn gives customers many new creative capabilities such as metallic like printing and photo-like images, which can be applied to the production of vouchers, tickets or certificates. It also enables security capabilities through, for instance, watermarking.

The press is equipped with colour management tools to work with industry standards to realise vivid, vibrant, true-to-production prints, making it ideal for various commercial environments where communications need to make a visual impact, whether through subtle and stylish suggestion or through bold, eye-catching promotion. From creative agencies designing logos and advertising campaigns, through to corporate environments where watermarks are required and proposals need to stand out, the imagePRESS C1+ allows its users to take a huge creative step forward and enable them to print a far greater range of items.

“We are very excited about this product, because it really is a first of its kind,” said Craig Manson, Senior General Manager, Marketing at Canon Australia. “Not only does it further a user’s creativity, it enables them to open up their printing capability and produce new items for their own business or for clients. This usually means either a significant cost saving or an actual revenue generator.”
