SEAL Graphics CA series now complete: full range of display media with new high-performance coating at Fespa digital
Thursday 21. May 2009 - SEAL Graphics, a world leader in image and print finishing solutions, has developed a new range of directly printable display films with a new high performance inkjet coating.
Called CA (for Color Alliance), the coating allows print providers to drastically reduce – to one – the number of colour profiles they need to generate consistent printing results. Now, users only need one colour profile for all water-based and another, single profile for all solvent-based CA media from SEAL.
Besides the enormous advantage of uniform profiling, the new inkjet coating provides much better colour properties and offers perfect print results with the latest printer models.
With this new coating, inkjet printers require less ink for the same colour density – which results in a considerable cost reduction. As well as better colour quality, the ink will also dry much quicker – and production times will be shortened – because less ink is required.
Alternatively, should print providers use the same amount of ink as they did before, the colours will look even more vibrant – having more depth and intensity – and, therefore, cover a much greater colour gamut.

Solvent Stoplight CA (200, 300 and 400) – Polyester, offering best stability
Solvent Stoplight B1 CA (300 and 400) – Fire retardant version
Solvent Display Board B1 CA (300 and 400) – hard PVC, cost effective version
WB Stoplight CA (200, 300 and 400) – Polyester, offering best stability
WB Stoplight B1 CA (200 and 400) – Fire retardant version
WB Display Board B1 CA (200,300,400) – hard PVC, cost effective version
The colour profiles for the media are available through the new ColorBase online tool that can be downloaded from the SEAL website. Go to www.sealgraphics.com, click on Service & Support’, then Download ICC profiles’. Look for the profiles ‘Solvent/WB CA certified media’.
