SEAL Graphics adds new high performance, pressure-sensitive, solvent-based laminate for digital prints at Fespa digital
Monday 18. May 2009 - SEAL Graphics, a world leader in image and print finishing solutions, has added a new Sandtex finish to its range of UV Sol Lam laminates for digital print media.
UV Sol Lam is a highly competitive range of durable, pressure-sensitive, solvent-based PVC lamination films that provides excellent protection and enhances the finish of the output of all digital print technologies, especially those produced using UV-cured inks.
This new premium quality laminate has a sand-textured surface specifically designed to provide outstanding protection and which provides an exclusive non-reflective finish for display graphics. It has an excellent adhesive bond to all media including UV-printed panels that often have a low energy surface due to the characteristics of the ink. This film contains UV-protection in the form of UV absorbers in the adhesive system to protect against the damage and fade caused by UVA and UVB-exposure outdoors. These enable SEAL Graphics to claim a life of up to three years for outdoor installations and five years indoors.
All finishes utilise a release liner which is a silicone-coated, yellow glassine and they are available in roll sizes from 1040 to 1540mm wide by 50 or 100 metre lengths.
