Our range of high-resolution digital UV ink and coding solutions on show at the exhibition will cater for businesses of all sizes operating in a variety of sectors.”

Addressing print, labeling and packaging markets

During Graphitec/Convertec, Atlantic Zeiser will present one of its latest inkjet printers, the OMEGA 72i, to directly address the technical and cost-efficiency requirements for the french print, labeling, and packaging markets. The OMEGA 72i, in vertical print position, supports a print width of up to 72mm with high 360x360dpi quality print and maximum production speed of up to 60m/min. This powerhouse printer offers exceptional quality with perfect adhesion, and is perfectly suited to handle a full range of applications and products in the packaging and printing industries.

The OMEGA 72i will be shown in combination with the OMEGA 36 for the first time live presented in horizontal print position.  Another member of the successful OMEGA product family, the OMEGA 36 HD (“High Definition”) printer, will be configured in a re-reeling system for label printing.  This lightweight and compact printer ensures clear, crisp 720 dpi resolution of extremely small font sizes, barcodes, foreign characters, graphics, and logos.

Live demos of the two printers will include Atlantic Zeiser’s new eco-friendly SMARTCURE 72i LED UV curing device. The next-generation LED technology delivers space and energy savings when compared to other UV curing solutions, especially those using HG bulbs.

Attendees will also have the opportunity to learn more about GAMMA 70, Atlantic Zeiser’s digital, full color inkjet module for product personalization that was initially shown as a technology module in a card personalization system (ID cards) at CARTES 2008 where it generated tremendous interest. As a single-pass inkjet printing system, the GAMMA 70 impresses with its high quality, offering a resolution of 360 dpi and a print width of 70.5mm at a maximum print speed of 24m/min. Its flexible integration into web or sheetfed applications and its versatile technology enables the GAMMA 70 to also excel as a high quality printing solution on challenging substrates for cost-effectively producing small batches in other markets such as label printing and industrial full color product marking.

BRAILLEJET, Atlantic Zeiser’s new high quality printing system for Braille, the font for blind people, will also be shown for the first time in France. The live variable print demo will show how BRAILLEJET’s revolutionary new micro valve technology enables fonts to be printed using UV curable high-viscosity ink and to achieve immediate fixation of the dots. The result is optimum readability exceptional dot clarity and expensive setup costs associated with silk-screen printing or embossing are totally eliminated.

Eric Penne, Managing Sales Director of AZ France, concludes: “France is a very important market for us. Feedback from our customers suggests the current economic conditions are prompting them to explore ever-more cost-effective solutions that can help them broaden their offering and differentiate themselves from their competitors. The Omega product range will help them achieve this and afford them a distinct competitive edge.”

In addition to inkjet printing systems, proprietary printing inks, dryer and curing units, Atlantic Zeiser also provides total solutions with personalization technologies and transport units that are integrated according to the customer’s requirements.
