Atlantic Zeiser, supplier of dedicated personalization and coding systems, will debut a range of new and innovative capabilities for CARDLINE VERSA at CARTES 2008, November 4th through 6th in Paris. These include a MagEncoding unit, a high-resolution OMEGA 72i printer, and the SMARTCURE 72i LED UV drying unit, all new and to be shown for the first time at the show. CARDLINE VERSA enables high-quality, high-volume production of gift cards and telecom Pre-Paid Multi-Vouchers. The system will be on display in Hall 3, Booth G41.

CARDLINE VERSA perfectly matches the requirements of gift card manufacturers and pre-paid scratch-off card makers for large-volume production of personalized CR80 cards, odd-shaped cards, double CR80, hangtags and complex Gift Card Packages. Designed for exceptionally high net-production per shift, the CARDLINE VERSA ensures quick set-up time, lower product costs and fast job changeover. The rapid processing capabilities, up to 40,000 personalized cards per hour, deliver a strong performance/price ratio, while being exceptionally reliable and operator-friendly.
New capabilities to be unveiled at CARTES 2008 include:
MagEncoding Unit. This unit allows flexible magnetic stripe positioning on the card, even for non-ISO positions. It also performs simultaneous encoding of two parallel magstripes, with the option to perform encoding either top-down or bottom-up.
High-Resolution OMEGA 72i Printer. With a print width of up to 72mm and a resolution of 360 dpi, this printer provides an efficient and economical solution for single pass inkjet printing of personalized cards. It combines the reliability of the proven OMEGA printer line with high contrast ink, ensuring exceptionally crisp print quality and no visible stitching lines for seamless printing across the whole print head.
SMARTCURE 72i LED UV Drying Unit. This long-life drying unit has a compact design that requires less space than other UV drying units. Its LED design ensures energy savings over conventional UV dryers that use HG bulbs. The unit is water cooled for temperature-sensitive products.
Optionally, the CARDLINE VERSA can be equipped to permit the attaching of carriers to inline personalized cards.
