Polar 78X is “Simply the best”

Phillips (Print & Stationery) of Crediton has taken a Polar 78X guillotine to replace an older machine and says it will benefit from the faster backgauge, easier programmability and slick Optiknife knife changing features.

Thursday 13. November 2008 - Phillips (Print & Stationery) of Crediton has taken a Polar 78X guillotine to replace an older machine and says it will benefit from the faster backgauge, easier programmability and slick Optiknife knife changing features.

Since managing director Ken Turner’s wife is Tina Turner it is appropriate that they think Polar is “Simply the best”. The company was 90% certain it would go back to Polar but it did look at other options before signing the order.

Phillips is a general commercial printer producing a wide range of work – business cards, stationery, brochures and booklets – for a local customer base. Its new guillotine will have to handle stocks of 60gsm to 400gsm including coated, uncoated, recycled papers and even tissue.

Work is printed on both litho and digital machines and must be finished well. The new guillotine is financed by BPFL.
