Friday 17. October 2008 - Record-Breaking Machine Makes Début

OYSTAR, The Process & Packaging Group is an exhibitor at Salon Emballage 2008 in Villepinte near Paris. The world’s leading provider of process technology and packaging machinery will be presenting a slew of new products at the prestigious packaging trade show from November 17 – 21 in hall 5a, stand F49. Among the products making their début will be the EF400 for 4 rows of 6 cups designed by French OYSTAR affiliate OYSTAR Erca-Formseal.
It will be a home match for OYSTAR Erca-Formseal: The company that invented deep-drawing technology 50 years ago will be showcasing the EF400, which can deep-draw, fill, seal and label up to 46,000 cups per hour – breaking all productivity records. A rotating in mould labeling system comprising four moulds in a 4 x 6 format operates at up to 32 cycles per minute. Besides being very fast, this process has the additional benefit of saving material. The lower capital spending and operating costs associated with the new EF400 significantly increase profitability and optimize total cost of ownership.
Along with OYSTAR Erca-Formseal, three other members of the OYSTAR Group will be presenting innovations at Emballage 2008:
OYSTAR Aerofill-Dawson, Bury St Edmunds (UK), will be displaying its Star Pak aerosol filling and closing machine.
OYSTAR IWK, Stutensee (Germany), will be exhibiting its new SC 5 cartoner and TFS 80-1 tube filler, which has an output of up to 100 tubes/min.
OYSTAR Manesty, based in Liverpool (UK), will be showing a tablet press from the Xpress series. It will also present AccuSpray, a completely new technology for the surface treatment of tablets, which reduces the quantity of magnesium stearate added during the pharmaceutical manufacturing process.
