printservices days Help Printers Improve their Efficiency

The recipe for success of the printservices days: experimenting with the latest technology and exchanging views among experts. The ideas generated by the live demonstrations in manroland’s Print Technology Center in Offenbach are what convince the guests most of all.

Increasing productivity at a time when margins are shrinking is essential for printing companies to survive. It’s a matter of being faster, more flexible and more productive. This is why, under the title “Power for Success”, manroland regularly invites around 30 customers from a region to the Print Technology Center in Offenbach for a day packed with ideas to improve their efficiency, and practical demonstrations as well.

Since the first printservices day was held in April 2007 already more than 500 technical managers, production managers and printers from different parts of the world have received answers to topical questions such as “How can I gain more flexibility to handle individual customer’s wishes and improve my productivity? How can I react faster to new demands from the marketplace? Can I process more jobs per hour with shorter makeready times?” After the investment phase, manroland accompanies printers for the entire life cycle of their printing systems, providing maintenance and optimization. The people behind the four areas of PRINTVALUE, the service and support brand, know the market trends and create individualized solutions: process-compliant system components with printcom, services and support with printservices, networking with printnet and strategic advisory services with printadvice.

Providing practical knowledge in a compact form
The event provides a well-balanced mix of theory and practice with time for the visitors to exchange ideas and discuss company-specific needs. Here the print experts show just as much interest in the ProServ maintenance program for maximum production security as they do in the TelePresence and TelePresence smart remote diagnosis solution products for rapid support when needed. The visitors are also especially interested to learn how modern technology can be used more and more to network and automate production processes. The most impressive part of the event is always the live demonstrations using a six-color and a ten-color ROLAND 700 HiPrint. These show the guests how older presses can also meet today’s demands through the addition of new functions and extensions – upgrades such as the ROLAND InlineCoater smart, a swing-on/swing-off chambered doctor blade coating system for the last printing unit of a press, or an inking roller blowing device with ink mist extraction.
