Award Competitions Highlight Innovation at SGIA 08
Friday 13. June 2008 - Golden Image Gallery showcases international entries
Innovation will be on full display at SGIA 08 (Atlanta; October 15-18, 2008), from the trade show floor to the entries of SGIAs outstanding awards competitions. Members can enter their best work or nominate their most deserving colleagues for the awards, which are judged and awarded at SGIA 08.
“SGIAs awards program celebrates the resourcefulness and creativity of the specialty imaging community,” said SGIA President/CEO Michael Robertson. This years awards competitions include:
Golden Image/Andre Schellenberg (Entry deadline: September 15) Members, who receive one free entry, can enter nearly any imaged product for the contest.
Howard Parmele Award (Entry deadline: July 15) SGIAs highest honor celebrates the achievements of an industry professional who has significantly impacted the industrys services or overall image.
DPI Innovator Award (Entry deadline: September 5) The award honors those who have propelled digital imaging to new heights. The winner must work or have worked at a printing/imaging company or company that supplies information, equipment or materials to the industry.
DPI Product of the Year (Entry deadline: September 15) New and current imaging products and equipment that lead innovation in wide-format digital imaging are eligible for this award.
ASPT Student Awards Competition (Entry deadline: July 11) Students in secondary and post-secondary schools that hold an SGIA membership can compete as well with the Academy of Screen Printing Technologys competition, which features several screen and digital categories.
