SGIA’s Equipment Evaluations Help with Purchasing Decisions

Friday 25. April 2008 - New Mutoh printer evaluations allow direct comparisons to other devices

Before you buy your next wide-format, solvent inkjet printer, check out SGIA’s latest Digital Equipment Evaluations on SGIA.org, Keyword: Evaluation.
The new reports feature detailed evaluations of Mutoh America Inc.’s solvent inkjet printers. The reports — conducted on-site by SGIA staff and formatted to provide SGIA members with comparisons of wide-format output devices — offer unbiased evaluations for the following Mutoh printers:
• ValueJet 1304-54
• ValueJet 1608-64 Hybrid
• ValueJet 2606
• Spitfire Extreme 100
“The latest evaluations expand the range of digital devices SGIA members can accurately compare across manufacturers, helping them make confident equipment purchases that will work best for their operation,” said Johnny Shell, SGIA’s Vice President of Technical Services.
Evaluations for wide-format devices made by Océ, Roland DGA Corp., Mimaki USA, EFI VUTEk and MacDermid ColorSpan Inc. (now part of Hewlett Packard Co.) also are available.
In an effort to provide value-added comparisons for garment decorators, SGIA will soon release similar digital equipment evaluations for direct-to-garment digital output devices from manufacturers Brother International Corp. and Kornit Digital Ltd., Shell said.
