Ossid Announces New Weigh Price Labeler Lineup

Saturday 07. June 2008 - Ossid, a division of Pro Mach, announced today its new 1500 Series weigh price labelers - the 1516, 1520, and 1524. The modular 1500 Series provides poultry, protein, seafood and fresh produce customers accurate, flexible, easy-to-use weigh price labeling in high speed continuous motion - up to 160 packages per minute. The modular approach allows customers to easily upgrade from a semi-automatic setup to fully automatic setup or add multiple printers and options as needs grow.

All machines in the 1500 Series can apply top and bottom labels and weigh a wide range of product types from flat packages, such as trays, to contoured packages. All machines also feature open architecture software and network connectivity, which allows seamless integration with your systems, remote maintenance and training, and report delivery through email, web browser or PDA. The software interface also supports multiple languages with English and Spanish as standards. All machines also feature easy to maintain stainless steel construction for use in harsh environments.
The 1500 Series offers more than 15 upgrades, including V-belt conveyors, C-Label printers, and Chaotic Mode inspection systems. Up to nine printers can be added per machine. Differences in the Series depend on package size and available options. The 1516 is best suited for small packages up to 12 inches. The 1520 handles medium packages up to 16 inches. The 1524 handles larger packages up to 20 inches.
“The beauty of the 1500 Series is the flexible modular approach, which allows customers to purchase only as much machine as they need when they need it,” said Joe Grove, Ossid VP of Engineering. “A customer that only packages small trays can purchase the size machine they need, plus upgrade from semi-automatic to fully automatic setup, add multiple print stations or add other upgrades as production needs grow. The 1500 Series provides customers an excellent approach to getting the most from their initial packaging line investment and into the future if needs change.”
All Ossid weigh price labelers are American made, built with an intuitive touch screen operator interface and exceed accuracy standards regulated by NTEP. They can integrate directly in any line and are easy to maintain. Innovative features and high quality construction on the 1500 Series are testimony to Ossid’s more than 30 years of packaging application experience.
