Mike White, Ossid Vice President and General Manager, Dies in Accident

Friday 02. May 2008 - Mike White, Ossid Vice President and General Manager, died Monday, April 21 as a result of injuries received in a motorcycle accident. He was 49.

Mr. White, a 20-year management and engineering veteran, joined Ossid in 2004 and served as its Vice President and General Manager since February last year. He previously served as Ossid’s Operations Manager and was instrumental in integrating its MH product line acquired in 2006.
“Mike was a great person and leader for our company,” said Bud Lane, President of Pro Mach’s Primary Packaging Business Unit. “He will be sorely missed as a friend and mentor to many people throughout our company and the packaging industry. I’m personally grateful to have known him as a friend and to have worked beside him. Our thoughts and condolences are with his family during this difficult time.”
Mr. White was born in Santa Monica, California on June 8, 1958. He received his Bachelor’s of Science degree from New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) in Business Management and Labor Relations. He lived in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina and is survived by his parents Carroll and Marjorie White, brother Jim White and sister-in-law Joy White.
Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m., Friday April 25 at Mt. Sylvan Methodist Church in Durham, North Carolina. Mr. White’s family requests that memorials be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
