EUROMAN: Successful In All Respects

Wednesday 19. March 2008 - Again two renowned printers, Jagran Prakashan Ltd. in Kanpur, India, and Litografia Magnograf S.A. in Edo de Puebla, Mexico, has opted for the new 32-page heatset webfed press of MAN Roland. The EUROMAN again proofs its customized design for economical double circumference heatset-offset printing.

The graphic arts industry today focuses the challenges of a fast growing market with ever changing demands and perpetual pressure of competition. Flexibility, efficiency and cost effectiveness at the same time with quality and just in time production are features that get more and more important to printing companies worldwide.
Stronger market presence
Jagran Prakashan Ltd. is one of the biggest printing companies in India and runs more than 30 production sites. Their publications reach about 20 million readers per day. Because of the raising market requirements, the company now decided to invest in a heatset press of MAN Roland. The most important criteria were the persuasive press design and technology of the new EUROMAN. The system promises a significant enlargement of the product range and a stronger market presence. The EUROMAN for Jagran is a 32-pages heatset web offset press with a web width of 965 millimetres, a cylinder circumference of 1092 millimetres and a maximum speed of 35,000 cylinder rph or 70,000 copies cross folded. The press with a horizontal web lead consists of four printing units an automatic splicer and a DualDry III dryer. The folding system with one former is equipped with a 2:3:3 jaw folder with quarter fold. The press is driven by shaftless AC motor technology.
Flexible concepts for dynamic markets
Another EUROMAN goes to Litografia Magnograf in Edo de Puebla, Mexico. The new press gives the printing company the required flexibility for a versatile range of applications. The
32-pages press with four printing units produces with a cylinder circumference of 1156 millimetres and a web width of 965 millimetres. The folding system consists of one former and a 2:3:3 jaw folder with quarter fold and section stitcher. Moreover the units are equipped with a register control system, automatic ink supply and automatic webbing up system up to the draw roller in front of the folder superstructure. The press will go on line in summer 2008. To be up to the standards of high printing quality, the units are equipped with segmented ink blades, three plate inking rollers and three temperature controlled ink distributor rollers for constant ink viscosity and uniform ink density. By its high level of automation the EUROMAN offers maximum flexibility for short and long runs. The short makeready times allow a fast production of different print jobs. A high efficiency for commercial printing is also promised by PPL, the optional automated plate change system of MAN Roland. Further the presses are equipped with PECOM, the MAN Roland printnet production management system.
All-round appliance
The EUROMAN presses for Jagran and Litografia are primarily designed for printing products such as advertisement, inserts and commercials with consistent quality. These products in a while show surpassing growth rates. Their increasing popularity is based on their high advertising efficiency. The attractiveness is boosted by higher quality. Due to these production requirements MAN Roland designed the new EUROMAN. Thus, MAN Roland offers their customers strong impulses for market development, customer acquisition and increasing efficiency.
