ICP-Roto industrie graphique, a highly respected commercial and newspaper printing house on the island of La Réunion, celebrated its new Cortina from Koenig & Bauer with an official ceremony. Some 300 guests attended the press official start-up.
Taking advantage of the opportunity provided by two impressive BOBST CO 8000 coating lines currently in its production facility, waiting to be dismantled for shipment to the new owners, Bobst Italia is holding a two-day coating event taking place at its site in San Giorgio Monferrato, Italy, on 25 and 26 July 2018. The lines are dedicated to silicone coating for release liners and film barrier coating applications respectively.

Theyre developed to improve flexo operating skills, share current developments in the printing industry, and increase press productivity. The 3-day programs for operators and 5-day programs for engineers will be held at the MPS Technology & Expertise Centre in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

Some 200 guests, staff and pupils celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Koenig & Bauer on-site vocational school in Würzburg on 6 July 2018. Initially founded to train Franconian winegrowers to work in the factory, today the school is the companys modern talent factory.

The Estonian-based printing concern Printall AS is set to intensify its collaboration with Q.I. Press Controls (QIPC), the Dutch specialist in measurement and control systems for the printing industry. The Koenig & Bauer Compacta heatset printing press in its Tallinn plant is to be equipped with a new automation system supplied by QIPC. This new system from QIPC will be quicker and more reliable than our current automation system.
