At the beginning of September, Koenig & Bauer placed large-format sheetfed offset in the spotlight again in Radebeul. The latest customer event left packaging printing to one side, however, and instead shifted the focus onto highly efficient commercial production, web-to-print and online applications.

Based in Gauteng South Africa, label convertors, Silverline Print have invested in an 8 colour Edale FL3 flexographic press with a 350mm web width and UV drying. The press also has an array of rail mounted options including a turnbar, inter-print lamination, cold foil and a delamrelam module and can be upgraded with additional options at any point in the future. Silverline, an existing Edale customer, offer label solutions to various industries including pharmaceutical, health and beauty and the food and beverage market.
When INDOPLAS, INDOPACK and INDOPRINT open their doors at the Jakarta International Expo Centre between 19th and 22nd September, all eyes will once again be focussed on the leading specialist trade fair for the packaging and printing industries in Indonesia. The training year at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) starts on September 1, 2018. Another 99 young men and women are starting their training or dual study courses at one of four of the companys sites in Germany.
