Comprehensive training course on sheetfed offset, measuring technology and postpress

In July university lecturers from Egypt visited Koenig & Bauer in Radebeul near Dresden to learn more about cutting-edge, effective and resource-saving printing technology. The aim of the one-week event was to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of current solutions and concepts and to create a basis for the interactive exchange of knowledge at the educational institutions.

Taking advantage of the opportunity provided by two impressive BOBST CO 8000 coating lines currently in its production facility, waiting to be dismantled for shipment to the new owners, Bobst Italia is holding a two-day coating event taking place at its site in San Giorgio Monferrato, Italy, on 25 and 26 July 2018. The lines are dedicated to silicone coating for release liners and film barrier coating applications respectively.

MPS has developed new training courses exclusively for operators and engineers. Theyre developed to improve flexo operating skills, share current developments in the printing industry, and increase press productivity. The 3-day programs for operators and 5-day programs for engineers will be held at the MPS Technology & Expertise Centre in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

Koenig & Bauer on-site vocational school celebrates 150 years

Some 200 guests, staff and pupils celebrated the 150th anniversary of the Koenig & Bauer on-site vocational school in Würzburg on 6 July 2018. Initially founded to train Franconian winegrowers to work in the factory, today the school is the companys modern talent factory.
