Heidelberg opens future workshop – training to tackle the digital future

The advancing digital transformation at Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) also places high demands on vocational training at the company. To make it easier to shape technological and social change, Heidelberg has opened a Future Workshop for apprentices at its Wiesloch-Walldorf site with the aim of introducing them to its corporate digitization strategy from day one.

Bobst Group continues investing for the future and confirms its strategic priorities based on growth, innovation for digital printing, IoT and digitalization of its core business processes. The Group Executive Committee is evolving and Erik Bothorel will leave the Group Executive Committee by end of 2018. Stephan März, current Head of the Business Unit Services, will take on responsibility for Business Unit Web-fed as of January 1, 2019, while Julien Laran, current Head of the Supply Chain and Operations within the Business Unit Services, will be appointed Head of Business Unit Services as of January 1, 2019.

Best young media professionals honored at WorldSkills Germany

This years WorldSkills Germany competition saw a total of fifteen highly motivated and committed young media professionals taking part. For the first time, the German championships in print media technology, graphic design, and web design took place centrally from 23 to 25 October 2018 in the Print Media Center of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG in Wiesloch-Walldorf.
