Beneco Packaging and SoOpak More than Double Capacity

Beneco Packaging and subsidiary company, SoOpak, recently opened a second facility in Scarborough, Ontario. Once fully operational, the new facility will offer a complete design, manufacturing, and finishing production house that will eclipse another Beneco Packaging plant in Brampton, Ontario. The new facility will be home to a new Heidelberg Speedmaster CX 102-6+L with full automation and UV capabilities, a Heidelberg-MK Promatrix 106 CS diecutter and a Heidelberg-MK Diana Easy folder gluer.

The US Government Publishing Office Installs RMGT 9 Series LED-UV Press

The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) opened its doors on March 4, 1861, with 350 employees. Since that day, GPO has printed, published and disseminated information for the three branches of the federal government.The printing portion of the shop was entirely made up of a fleet of Heidelberg offset presses until the recent installation of an RMGT 9 Series press with LED-UV curing.

Mark Andy P3 Prints Aluminium Foil in Slovakia

In an unusual application, Radaflex has adapted a Mark Andy Performance Series P3 to print on aluminium foil at its facility in Tmava. The Slovakian converters new P3 is an eight-color flexo press, with a 10-inch (250mm) web width, fitted with hardened idler rolls coated with Teflon.
