FESPA Awards 2020 winners announced

The Awards are open to print service providers (PSPs) and sign-makers looking to highlight outstanding projects. This years programme received entries from 27 countries across the 18 categories. The winners were announced during an online ceremony hosted by FESPAs Technical Support Manager, Graeme Richardson-Locke, in lieu of the live Gala Awards event which would have taken place during this years Global Print Expo in Madrid.

Magna Powertrain expands its fleet with the installation of five HP PageWide XL presses

Magna Powertrain, a business subsidiary of Magna International has streamlined its business by investing in a total of five HP PageWide XL presses. With the companys first HP PageWide XL 5100 installed in 2018 at its main site in Untergruppenbach, Germany, responsible for manufacturing Transmission Systems, four more presses followed at the end of last year.

World record supports child welfare: Canon plans the longest digitally printed photo in the world

Canon wants to go far up the ladder for the good cause: On 26 September, the company will print the worlds longest digital photo at the Oberstdorf ski jump. With this world record attempt, Canon is supporting Schaut hin! e.V., an association for child and victim support. The campaign is taking place as part of the 8th Oberstdorf Photo Summit, where numerous offers and exhibitions on all aspects of photography await interested parties and fans of photography and video formats from 23 to 27 September.

UoT Athletics teams with Ricoh to bring football fans to the stadium in the form of printed cutouts

Ricoh USA, Inc. has teamed with University of Texas Athletics to produce individualized fan cutouts to help fill the stands at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium, home of the Texas Longhorns football team, during game days. These cutouts, produced in conjunction with local Ricoh partner UT Print San Antonio, allow fans to show their school spirit while respecting social distancing guidelines.
