HP Graphic Arts Portfolio Demonstrates Expansive Range of Transpromotional Solutions at drupa

HP today announced that it is showing for the first time, in once place, a complete range of end-to-end transpromotional production solutions available through the HP Graphic Arts Organization and partner companies. In the direct marketing solutions area of the HP stand in hall 8a at drupa, visitors can see live printing demonstrations on the new HP Indigo presses, Inkjet Web Press, Specialty Printing Systems (SPS) solutions and workflow solutions from HP and partners.

Xeikon Unveils Fastest High-Resolution Digital 5 Color Label Press

Xeikon, a division of Punch Graphix, legendary for pioneering the first digital color presses, today unveils a radically new digital color label press, the Xeikon 3300. The Xeikon 3300 represents a quantum leap in label print quality, offering true 1200 dpi at 4 bits per spot. With a top speed of 19.2 m/min (63.0 ft/min) it is the fastest digital 5 color label press on the market, particularly suited for short to medium print runs and just-in-time jobs. The first day of drupa 2008, Europe’s largest print exhibition, marks the official market introduction of the Xeikon 3300.

HP Announces Multimillion Dollar Sale of HP Indigo Digital Press Technologies to Consolidated Graphics

HP today announced that it has signed a multimillion dollar agreement with Consolidated Graphics Inc. (NYSE: CGX), one of the largest North American general commercial printing companies, for the installation of as many as 36 HP Indigo digital presses – including multiple HP Indigo 7000 Digital Presses – at facilities in the United States and the Czech Republic this year.
