Atlas Converting Equipment Ltd. is pleased to confirm an order from Daelim Industrial Co. Ltd. of South Korea for a new 8.7m wide Atlas CW1040 Series primary slitter rewinder. The film slitter will be installed in conjunction with a new BOPP film production line at the company’s extensive production facility in the city of Jeonju, approx. 100km south of the capital, Seoul. The BOPP film line is due to commence production during the first quarter of 2013 and represents a major expansion of production capacity in BOPP film for the Daelim Group with an estimated annual production capacity of approx. 38,000 tonnes.
During a highly successful drupa 2012 exhibition, BOBST verified with visiting customers that plans for future equipment and service developments, including those for sheet-fed digital printing and finishing, are on track to satisfy the production challenges that clients’ expect to face in the future.
Selsey Press has replaced a Shoei folder with a Stahlfolder KH78. The need for a newer model which could handle larger formats and an increased volume of print produced by another recently added five-colour press were the motivating factors behind this buying decision.
