Stora Enso completes the divestment of its coreboard and core manufacturer Corenso

Stora Enso has completed the divestment announced 30 September 2014 of its Corenso business operations to the Finnish packaging materials company Powerflute Oyj. The enterprise value of the transaction is approximately EUR 90 million, and the all cash consideration approximately EUR 102 million. The transaction is estimated to result in a capital gain of approximately EUR 12 million that will be reported as a positive non-recurring item in Stora Enso’s fourth quarter 2014 operating profit.

Q.I. Press Controls sells its first IDS-3D in Denmark to Fynske Medier.

After investments in Q.I. Press Controls’ closed-loop colour control system by printing plants in Sweden and Norway, now also Denmark will follow. Fynske Medier is the first printing plant in Scandinavia to acquire the closed-loop colour control system fitted with IDS-3D cameras.

UPM Kymi celebrated its pulp mill expansion investment topping out ceremony

Today UPM Kymi celebrated the topping out ceremony for its pulp mill production expansion project, KYMI700: the new pulp drying machine, debarking plant and modernisation of the softwood fibre line. A total of around 200 participants are invited in the celebrations including those working on the project and guests.
