Automated sensor integration live at K 2019

At K 2019, Leonhard Kurz will be demonstrating the automated integration of touchscreen sensors into plastic parts. The sensors will be applied to a white goods control panel using Kurzs patent pending FFB (Functional Foil Bonding) process. The process was presented for the first time at Fakuma 2018 and is now being adopted in series production applications. A semi-rotary variant of FFB will be displayed at the Kurz booth for the first time.

Flint Groups New Thermal nyloflex XAH Digital Plate Increases Productivity

The nyloflex XAH Digital, a hard round top dot plate with a smooth surface, is the latest addition to Flint Groups fast-growing line of nyloflex thermal printing plates designed specifically for use in its nyloflex Xpress Thermal Processor. The new flexographic plate is formulated with a special AIF technology that keeps plates cleaner on press and results in faster print runs with fewer press stops.

Coldset Printing Partners Chooses Waterless Offset Printing with Toray Plates

Toray Graphics in the Czech Republic, a leading manufacturer of waterless offset plate technology, reported that Belgian printing company Coldset Printing Partners has converted most of its operations to waterless offset printing using Toray IMPRIMA printing plates and Koenig & Bauer Cortina printing presses. The company, which serves its parent newspaper publisher as well as external customers that require heatset quality offset printing, was formed in 2010 as a joint venture to consolidate two printing plants.
