SUN CHEMICAL BREAKTHROUGH AT DRUPA WITH INCREASED LINE SPEEDS FOR LED CURING CHEMISTRY

SunJet, the inkjet ink division of Sun Chemical, has announced at drupa the development of new and novel ink chemistry specifically designed for curing under exposure to UV light from LED sources. In laboratory tests line speeds in single pass applications have exceeded 100m or 300ft per minute. SunJet is present on the Sun Chemical stand at drupa 2008, Düsseldorf from May 29 to June 11, in Hall 6, Stand B75.

Trelleborg And MacDermid Sign SEK 400 Million Acquisition Deal

Trelleborg, via its business area Trelleborg Engineered Systems, has completed the acquisition of MacDermid Offset Printing Blankets from the US group MacDermid Inc. The deal, worth around SEK 400 M, was signed on 2nd June 2008 and brings to the Trelleborg stable a major global manufacturer of printing blankets.

SUNJET DEVELOPS PLATFORM INKJET CHEMISTRY FOR CONDUCTIVE SILVER INKS AT DRUPA

SUN CHEMICAL LAUNCHES A WORLD FIRST TO BRING REAL ADVANTAGES TO UV PRINTING

A breakthrough in UV curing inks for sheetfed offset printing has been unveiled by Sun Chemical as part of its growing commitment to customers and the environment. Commercial production has started for a world-first eco-friendly UV ink, called SUNCURE Advantage, which uses 30% sustainable materials – a first for a UV curing ink.
