Teijin’s High-strength Technora(r) Para-aramid Fiber Used for Cable of Remotely Operated Vehicle “ABISMO”

Teijin Techno Products Limited announced that its high-performance Technora para-aramid fiber has been adopted by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) for the 160-meter secondary cable of a deep-sea probe named “ABISMO” (Automatic Bottom Inspection and Sampling Mobile), which is being used to explore the world’s deepest oceans.

Kemira: Tikkurila opens a logistics and customer service center in Mytishchi near Moscow

Tikkurila, which is responsible for Kemira’s paints and coatings business, is opening a new logistics and customer service center in Mytishchi near Moscow. The resulting more efficient supply chain will give a competitive edge to Tikkurila as soon as the market picks up. The official inauguration of the center takes place today, on April 21, 2009.
