Teijins High-strength Technora(r) Para-aramid Fiber Used for Cable of Remotely Operated Vehicle “ABISMO”
Teijin Techno Products Limited announced that its high-performance Technora para-aramid fiber has been adopted by the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) for the 160-meter secondary cable of a deep-sea probe named “ABISMO” (Automatic Bottom Inspection and Sampling Mobile), which is being used to explore the world’s deepest oceans.
