Agfa announced today that it has appointed ARE CON as their agent in the EMEA region for the distribution of its PETixTM materials. Agfa’s PETixTM is an enhanced and innovative range of PET films tailored to the card makers’ specific needs of today. Crystalline polyester (PET) is a material that has the characteristics that are becoming increasingly important for all kind of card applications.

Hexion Specialty Chemicals To Raise Prices For Powder Polyester Resins in Europe, the Middle East and Africa
Due to ongoing increases in energy and feedstock costs, Hexion Specialty Chemicals, Inc., announced today that it will increase the prices for its Albester, Albemast, Albecor and Albecor-Bio powder polyester resins in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Effective December 1, 2009, or as contracts allow, prices will increase by 7 to 9 percent on average, depending on the product line.
