Sappi Limited: Acquisition of Cham Paper is credit positive for Sappi

On 28 February, Sappi Limited (Sappi, Ba2 positive) announced that it concluded the acquisition of Cham Paper Group (Cham) for a total consideration of CHF147 million (an equivalent of around US$150 million), implying roughly 6x EBITDA multiple. This is credit positive for Sappi, because it will strengthen Sappis position in profitable and growing specialty papers, thus diversifying the group further beyond structurally declining coated woodfree (CWF) paper. In addition, we expect the purchase price to be paid from internal sources, so the acquisition will lead to deleveraging on gross debt basis.

Armenian 500 dram Collectors Note from G+D Currency Technology wins Regional Banknote of the Year.

At the 2018 High Security Printing (HSP) Conference in Warsaw, the Armenian 500 dram collectors note, which features Noahs Ark as its main motif, was selected as Regional Banknote of the Year for the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa). With this collectors note, the oldest Christian country on Earth commemorates the ship in which, according to the Old Testament, Noahs family and all the animals were saved from a biblical flood, before coming ashore on Mount Ararat.

Radwen Tekaya has joined Pixartprintings management team in the role of Director of Customer Care, heading a department that has been TÜV-certified for some time. The company, one of the largest web-to-print firms in Europe, provides printing services internationally, working exclusively as a pure play company: its shop windows are its e-stores, available in eleven different languages, its sales representatives are its advanced online marketing activities, and its voice is provided by the customer care staff, who give a human touch to the service offered online. This team today comprises eighty mother-tongue assistants, who respond to customers requests from across Europe in Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French.

Bobst Group reports a further significant increase in performance

Bobst Group, a Swiss-based worldwide leading supplier of equipment and services to the packaging and label industries, achieved consolidated sales of CHF 1 529 million in 2017, an increase of CHF 82 million, or 5.7%, compared to 2016. The operating result (EBIT) was CHF 119 million (CHF 104 million in 2016), while the net result was CHF 107 million (CHF 84 million in 2016).
