Gannett Board elects new director
Tony A. Prophet, senior vice president of Operations, Printing and Personal Systems at Hewlett-Packard Company, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI), effective October 29, 2013, the company announced.

New head of global film production: Dr. Hady Seyeda becomes Treofan’s EVP of Manufacturing Operations
As of November 1, Dr. Hady Seyeda, 47, will take up the position as Treofan Group’s Executive Vice President, Manufacturing Operations. He will also take over management of the Neunkirchen plant in Germany. Seyeda, who has a Ph.D. in chemistry, spent the last 15 years at technology company H.C. Starck. In his last position as the company’s Vice President of Operations, he was responsible for global production of technology metals and managed the company’s largest production site in Goslar, Germany.
