Transcontinental Media today announced it has acquired the Italian-language weekly newspaper Corriere Italiano, which serves the Italian community in the Montreal area. The acquisition brings Transcontinental Medias newspaper total to 171 community publications across Canada, with approximately 250 million copies annually.
