Metso to enhance its HR and finance service center concept gradually global

Metso will establish an HR service center in Tampere, Finland, to serve its units in Europe. Once the European center has been launched by the end of 2009, regional HR service centers will be established in North America, South America and Asia in 2010-2011.

Lexmark International, Inc. (NYSE:LXK) today announced financial results for the first quarter of 2009. First quarter revenue was $944 million, down 20 percent compared to revenue of $1.18 billion last year as weak global economic conditions negatively impacted demand for both hardware and supplies.

Metso’s nonrecurring expenses related to the adjustment measures

Metso has made decisions on adjustment measures in many of its units during the early part of the year. In the first quarter, Metso plans to recognize in its operating profit about EUR 22 million of nonrecurring expenses related to these adjustment measures.
