Gannett names David Hunke president, publisher of USA TODAY; John Hillkirk named editor of USA TODAY

David Hunke today was named president and publisher of USA TODAY. Hunke currently is chief executive officer of the Detroit Media Partnership and publisher of the Detroit Free Press.

Gannett elects Board members, declares dividend

Shareholders of Gannett Co., Inc. (NYSE: GCI) today re-elected Chairman, President and CEO Craig A. Dubow, Howard D. Elias, Marjorie Magner, Scott K. McCune, Duncan M. McFarland, Donna E. Shalala, Neal Shapiro and Karen Hastie Williams to the Board of Directors at the annual meeting held at the company’s headquarters. Each received more than 95% of the votes cast.
