Ball Corporation (NYSE:BLL) announced today that it priced an underwritten public offering of $375 million in aggregate principal amount of 7.125 percent senior notes due 2016 and $325 million in aggregate principal amount of 7.375 percent senior notes due 2019, for a total of $700 million in aggregate principal amount, $50 million more than previously announced. The offering is expected to close on Aug. 20, 2009, subject to market conditions and other factors.

Results included restructuring charges (net of tax) of $11.6 million, or $0.79 per share, for the previously announced closure of the company’s fine paper mill in Ripon, California.
