Sharp fall in sales due to downturn in machine sales and restructuring costs lead to significant loss
Hönle Groups economic situation stabilised in the third quarter of the financial year. After some time, sales revenue increased again from T 9,829 in the previous quarter to the T 11,031. The operating result (EBIT) was also positive in the third quarter and stood at T 115.
Schibsted has entered into agreement to sell the fully owned subsidiary Retriever AB to Norsk Telegrambyrå AS and Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå AB who will own 34% and 66% respectively. Total consideration is SEK 115 million. Schibsted expects to book a gain around SEK 50 million as a consequence of the sale.
Effective November 1, 2009, Saori Dubourg (38) will be appointed new head of BASFs division Regional Functions & Country Management Asia Pacific based in Hong Kong. The current division president, Dr. Tilman Krauch (47), will assume responsibility for BASFs Construction Chemicals division as of the same date. Dr. Bernhard Hofmann (57), who was previously responsible for this division, will retire at the end of 2009.
