Sappi Europe Announces Additional Price Increases for Graphic Paper and Packaging & Speciality Products

Despite ongoing efficiency efforts, the underlying profitability of the Graphic Paper business has remained at an unsustainably low level for some time. Restoring a healthy margin position is essential to ensure the longterm continuity, quality, and reliability of supply. For this reason, a further price increase has become unavoidable. 
 
In addition to the structural profitability challenge, the evolving situation in the Middle East has started to drive cost volatility across global supply chains. While the full impact of this disruption is still uncertain, it may require additional measures, potentially including temporary surcharges, should cost developments continue to escalate. Sappi will communicate separately if such action becomes necessary. 

To address the underlying margin gap, Sappi Europe will implement an additional price increase for graphic paper of €40 per ton on all Mechanical Coated Reels and €50 per ton on all Woodfree products, plus an additional price increase of €65 per ton on all Packaging & Speciality products for deliveries from 15 April 2026 onwards. 

Given the exceptional uncertainty in global markets, Sappi reserve the option to review prices further should conditions materially change.
