Brands such as addi, Gründl, Hardicraft, Jacquard, myboshi, Nakoma-Rit Dye and stafil stand for the diversity and innovative strength of this product world. Two new names will further enrich the segment this year: Alize brings a breath of fresh air from the world of colourful yarns, while De Bondt impresses with trend-driven DIY sets and a wide range of accessories. From classic knitting and crochet yarns to contemporary embroidery and dyeing techniques through to complete creative kits, the exhibitors not only reflect market trends but actively shape them. This innovative power reflects in the growing number of trade visitors specifically looking for textile innovations and fresh DIY inspiration.Creative trends 2026: romance, rebellion and retro vibes in fabric form
Curated by Trendbüro bora.herke.palmisano, the Creativeworld Trends 2026 capture the ongoing boom in textile design. In modern romantics, traditional techniques are reimagined with pearl embroidery, delicate lace and botanical motifs that adorn fabrics with poetic flair. In new rebels, stitched rebellion comes to life as embroidered splashes replace brushstrokes and textile dyes create expressive gradients. Finally, cool classics merge retro elements such as varsity lettering and two-tone yarns into stylish upcycling statements.
Handmade reloaded – textile techniques are back in vogue
The DIY movement has been experiencing a renaissance for years and textile crafts are more than just a passing trend. They express a mindful, sustainable lifestyle and a desire to slow down. Younger generations in particular are discovering crochet, embroidery and fabric dyeing as creative counterpoints to the digital world. “Creativeworld is a space for everyone who lives and loves textile design. From retailers to DIY influencers, from wholesalers to creative brands with a sustainability focus – this is where the industry meets,” adds Schopp.
With a premium product range, inspiring innovations and creative textile impulses from the Creativeworld Trend Area, the trade fair provides professionals with clear orientation, inspiration and fresh product ideas for the coming season. One thing is certain: anyone who wants to see where the market for textile DIY concepts is heading will be in Frankfurt this February.
