Gmund Papier expands strongly thanks to an acquisition in France

Tuesday 18. January 2022 - Thus, the Gmund paper mill additionally secures considerable capacities for the production of ecological cardboard qualities on a 100% recycling basis and continuously expands its know-how for promising solutions from alternative raw materials.

Since 17 January 2022, the Cartonnerie Jean FG paper mill, located in the heart of France, has belonged to Gmund Papier.
The two managing directors Florian Kohler and Herbert Eibach make Gmund Papier’s goal clear: “We will hereby be the specialist for particularly ecological and successful packaging applications in Europe. Therefore, we were looking for a manufacturer with an exceptionally environmentally friendly production and many years of experience in the field of coloured recycled papers.
In view of the fact that Gmund Papier recently won the German Sustainability Award 2022 with “Gmund Hemp”, this acquisition is the logical step into the future.
