Enfocus launches a brand new product to simplify job onboarding for client services

Wednesday 14. April 2021 - Enfocus, the leader in PDF quality control, advanced PDF editing and workflow automation for the graphic arts industry, announces the launch of its latest product: BoardingPass. BoardingPass is a new tool for customer service representatives to check PDF files for noticeable errors.

With Enfocus BoardingPass, customer service representatives can instantly check PDF files for printing.
Integrated with an email client, BoardingPass identifies errors that require resubmission of the file and automatically drafts an email response. Customer service representatives thus have the ability to provide quick and understandable feedback on PDF files.
“BoardingPass is a real gamechanger for job onboarding as it reduces the waiting time between workers in the production flow. The tool is both easy and intuitive to use and allows for a quick review of the file, which can then be sent back to the client or forwarded to prepress. A must have for any account manager!” – Joana Silva, Product Manager, Enfocus
BoardingPass uses simple drag and drop from an email attachment or downloaded PDF file. It quickly checks print job files for issues that would render the print job unusable. BoardingPass points out problems with missing fonts, image resolution and bleed. As a stand-alone PDF viewer, it displays files as they will appear on press. When problems are found, a draft email response is automatically created so that customer service representatives can respond to the customer quickly. Integration with WeTransfer allows users to drag and drop WeTransfer emails onto BoardingPass. BoardingPass then automatically downloads, opens and reviews the PDF file.
With BoardingPass, customer service representatives can identify issues such as:
Low image resolution
Incorrect document specifications
Missing font
Insufficient bleed, including front trim only on booklets
Inconsistent trim size and page orientation
Incorrect colour space
If a PDF file passes a BoardingPass check, it can be emailed to prepress or stored on a local network server along with a report. Customer service representatives do not need to be trained in prepress to provide quick and clear answers about the printability of PDF jobs. BoardingPass makes it easier for companies to stop relying on prepress to land jobs. It helps printers offer a higher level of responsiveness to their customers.
