BÖWE SYSTEC at drupa 2016

Friday 27. May 2016 - Fusion Cross - ‘One for all’ thanks to unique inserting principle

From May 31 to June 10, drupa 2016 in Düsseldorf offers industry insiders from around the globe the opportunity to explore the latest trends in the international print and media industry. BÖWE SYSTEC will be presenting leading-edge solutions such as the high-performance inserting system Fusion Cross in hall 6, booth B39, under its new motto ‘A step ahead’.

“We have to provide our customers with leading-edge technology if they are to enjoy long-term success in our market – technology that enables them to lower their operating costs and also enhance their productivity. Only products that meet these criteria will give our customers a competitive edge in the market in the long run,” explains Joachim Koschier, Group MD of BÖWE SYSTEC GmbH. “And this is reflected in our new motto ‘A step ahead’.” Leading the way is the high-performance inserting system Fusion Cross, which has been further customized to meet customer requirements on an ongoing basis since its successful launch in 2012. The high-performance inserting system presented at drupa 2016 is more capable than ever for high efficiency production, with new features such as the Tornado envelope unwinder, the Autoloader for automatic enclosure feeding, and second-generation EPOD (Envelope Print On Demand) for individual color envelope printing. The Flow-Principle developed by BÖWE SYSTEC for the Fusion Cross is a unique inserting technology that enables the system’s entire production process to run steadily and exceptionally smoothly. The relative filling speed is slowed down by a factor of 4.5 providing a much more efficient inserting process. This, in turn, facilitates the processing of a wide range of different enclosures of up to 15 mm and makes for a reliable production process, resulting in enhanced productivity and higher output. Even the highest speeds of up to 16,000 (C4, B4) or 22,000 (B6+ to B5) envelopes per hour, the Fusion Cross guarantees secure processing that is gentle on both materials and machines alike – with sophisticated and, above all, secure control via the link to the smart software solution BÖWE Cockpit.

The smallest and most environmentally friendly system of its class
BÖWE SYSTEC is also presenting the Turbo 9G, successor to the proven Turbo 8G, at drupa 2016. “Energy efficiency and reliability in the production process were the main considerations in developing the latest Turbo generation, which features over 90 technological enhancements compared with the Turbo 8G,” explains Joachim Koschier. The result is impressive: the smallest and most environmentally friendly system in its class, the Turbo 9G boasts the lowest power consumption in the inserting market and ensures particularly gentle processing thanks to its vertical transport and use of pneumatic and servo technology. What’s more, the high-performance system offers the flexibility that is sought-after in today’s mailrooms: for example, two different sequencers enable documents to be processed either face-up or face-down in line with existing production processes, thereby satisfying the customer’s individual requirements.

Multi-shift production with high output
BÖWE SYSTEC will also be presenting the Direct Mailer, the ideal entry-level solution for service providers in the mid-range segment, at drupa. Ideally suited for multi-shift production with high output, this inserting machine is available in two standardized configurations for processing envelope formats of up to C5 or up to C4. Depending on the configuration, it can achieve throughput rates of up to 15,000 and 10,000 envelopes per hour respectively. Two different types of enclosure feeders allow flexible and, above all, reliable enclosure feeding – thereby enabling customers to be targeted individually. An intelligent input component coupled with integrated BICOS control makes job changeover easier and brings the intelligence of high-performance systems to the mid-range segment.

Low-cost industrial white paper production
BÖWE SYSTEC is also set to present another new product known as the Mini Bridge, a solution for implementation of the White Paper Factory in the field of inserting developed jointly by BÖWE SYSTEC and the respected printer manufacturer RISO. The integrated system prints full-color, personalized documents on demand at a rate of up to 150 Simplex pages per minute, transports them inline and subsequently inserts them without any need for manual intervention in formats of up to C5, or optionally up to C4 – all at a throughput rate of up to 4,200 envelopes per hour. This makes for fast and reliable production of personalized documents printed in full color – with the option of full color printing of envelopes. Not only can the Mini Bridge be used to optimize the production of many different jobs with small batch sizes, but closed loop production can also be initiated fully automatically via a BÖWE One software interface.

“At drupa we look forward to helping our visitors explore how they can further optimize their processes by deploying our innovative solutions,” concludes Joachim Koschier. “We expect inspiring conversations at our booth B39 in hall 6.”
