Betz pump systems now also process LE UV ink

For over 30 years, BETZ TECHNOLOGIES has stood for experience and engineering expertise in dosing and pumping a wide range of highly viscous products. Thanks to extensive experience with a whole range of compositions and precise analysis of materials for processing at our very own technology centre, BETZ is now the leader in innovative customised ink handling solutions.
We are the professional partner of a range of equipment and ink producers, and have now developed an automatic ink supply system for the newly designed low-energy technology for special LE UV ink. For a number of reasons, automatically supplying these innovative inks to presses had previously posed great problems for all major providers. A specialist in ink handling, BETZ became the first manufacturer to offer an effective solution to this challenge.
The first LE UV ink pumping unit, at Atar-Roto Presse in Geneva, has now been in successful everyday use for six months. The unit automatically supplies two KBA printing presses – a Rapida 106-5 UV and a Rapida 106-10 UV – from 200 kg containers via a pumping station, an ink leveller and an ink agitator. The result: an efficient overall process and excellent quality standards.
