Weyerhaeuser announces changes to its Timberlands leadership team
Wednesday 30. April 2014 - Weyerhaeuser Company (NYSE: WY) today announced a number of changes to its Timberlands leadership team. All changes are effective immediately.
Rich Wininger has been named vice president, Business Support, Development and Real Estate.
Matt Williams has been named vice president, Western Timberlands, succeeding Rich Wininger.
Brad Kitselman has been named vice president, Timberlands Sales and Marketing.
“Rich, Matt and Brad each bring tremendous experience, skill and leadership to their new roles,” says Rhonda Hunter, senior vice president, Timberlands. “I look forward to the significant contributions they will continue to make to drive results for our Timberlands business.”
About Rich Wininger
Rich Wininger became Weyerhaeuser’s vice president, Western Timberlands, in 2005 and later expanded his role to include oversight for the company’s Canadian timberlands. Prior to that role, he held a number of leadership positions in Western Timberlands, including director of marketing, director of operations, regional operations manager, planning manager, special projects manager and business analyst. Before joining Weyerhaeuser in 1986, Wininger held positions at Zwight Logging Company, Forest Engineering Inc., and the U.S. Army. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Forest Engineering from Oregon State University and a Masters in Business Administration from Dartmouth College.
About Matt Williams
Matt Williams has been Weyerhaeuser’s Southern Timberlands director of marketing and safety functional leader since 2012. Prior to that role, Williams held a number of leadership roles in the company’s Southern Timberlands business, including timberlands manager, raw materials manager and procurement functional leader for the Arkansas/Oklahoma region. Before that, Williams held positions in the company’s wood products businesses, including various raw materials manager positions for lumber and plywood in North Carolina. Williams joined Weyerhaeuser as an forestry intern in Plymouth, North Carolina, in 1977. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Resource Management from the State University of New York.
About Brad Kitselman
Brad Kitselman has been director of sales and marketing for Weyerhaeuser’s Western Timberlands business since 2005. Prior to that role, he held a number of positions in Western Timberlands, including area marketing team leader, environmental management systems manager, regional team leader, export coordinator and scaling manager, contract harvest manager and timber sale administration. Kitselman joined Weyerhaeuser in 1978 as a forester. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Forestry from the University of Washington.
