Dr. Hönle AG: Hönle generates operating result of Eur 7.7 million in financial year 2012/2013

Monday 16. December 2013 - According to preliminary figures, the Hönle Group earned revenues of Eur 77.3 million (PY: Eur 72.1 million) in the financial year 2012/2013. The operating result (EBIT) came to Eur 7.7 million (PY: Eur 8.3 million).

As reported in the announcement of 26 November 2013, an accounting change led to an additional financial result of Eur 1.5 million in financial year 2012/2013 and of Eur 0.7 million in financial year 2011/2012. Earnings before taxes (EBT) thus improved to Eur 8.6 million after Eur 8.4 million in the previous year. The consolidated net income rose from Eur 6.2 million to Eur 6.7 million, which represents earnings per share of Eur 1.20 (PY: Eur 1.08).
The Hönle Group generated sales revenues of Eur 41.7 million (PY: Eur 38.3 million) in the ‘Equipment and Systems’ segment, while sales revenues in the ‘Adhesives’ and ‘Glass and Lamps’ segments came to Eur 17.8 million (PY: Eur 15.6 million) and Eur 17.7 million (PY: Eur 18.1 million), respectively. While total sales were up due to the consolidation of new companies, several companies of the Hönle Group reported a decrease in sales in the ‘Equipment and Systems’ and ‘Glass and Lamps’ segments. This development was particularly due to the persistently weak semiconductor and photovoltaics markets. The offset printing market also lagged behind expectations in 2013. By contrast, the ‘Adhesives’ segment registered a positive business development. Rising sales in the Consumer Electronics segment largely contributed to this development. Grafix GmbH was successfully integrated into the Hönle Group, and generated a positive operating result in the first nine months since its inclusion in the Group.
Outlook:
The forecast concerning future business development largely depends on the economic development of the global economy. Provided that the economic framework conditions remain unchanged, the Management Board aims at achieving Hönle Group sales of between Eur 80 to 85 million in financial year 2013/2014 and an operating result of between Eur 9 and 10 million.
