Prooftag at LabelExpo with a new chaometric security solution designed for Label Converters
Thursday 03. October 2013 - Prooftag will present at LabelExpo the latest evolution of the FiberTagT technology.
Introduced at LabelExpo Chicago 2012 in partnership with Neenah Paper, the FiberTagT concept has raised a high level of interest from label converters, brands and governments. That new solution has recently found its first applications on the market.
As one of the most promising chaometric security technology, Prooftag and Neenah Paper have been joined by Avery Dennison and HP Indigo in the development and commercialization of the solution.
Prooftag has chosen LabelExpo to introduce the LABELrec, the FiberTagT high speed recording equipment for label converters.
The LABELrec has been developed to be integrated into the printing environment process. It gives full autonomy to label converters in the production of secure and interactive labels made with FiberTagT. Demonstrations of the 600.000 FiberTagsT per hour recording capability will take place on HP Indigo booth (5C105). With the LABELrec, Prooftag offers to label converters equipped with HP Indigo digital presses a ready to use solution to produce security labels.
Produced by Neenah Paper, and commercialized by Avery Dennison the Fiber Tracker is a security paper engineered for the production of FiberTagT labels. Avery Dennison will present the technology and the range of material available on its booth (5A40).
Enabled by Prooftag’s visual authentication concept, the FiberTagT is now available to label converters that want to offer an innovative security solution, along with many other digital services for secured smart labels. Those security labels are connected to a service platform that offer to right holders track and trace, interactive marketing, usage analytics, alerts…
FiberTagT Concept
FiberTagT is a cost effective security solution that ensures the uniqueness of each label, tag or seal with an individual and visible fingerprint for authentication. FiberTagT is produced on a security paper that includes visible security fibers incorporated and spread randomly in the paper pulp at the production.
After serialization of each label on a digital press, each FiberTagT and its unique 2D code is recorded and linked to the right holder secure account on the Prooftag Cerv platform.
That service platform enables right holders to manage their labels by linking each of them to a customized description and ancillary services.
